Why Meditate?

In the beginning meditation can feel overwhelming. A flood of emotions and thoughts come running in and all of a sudden the body wishes to be anywhere but sitting still. This is part of the process. Something you will experience again and again.

There is no one right way to meditate. There are days when I can sit still and reflect. Others when I use my meditation to organise my thoughts and to-do list and days when meditation is pure tranquility.

We meditate because in time a sense of calm, peace and balance can be found and this has major benefits for our overall health, especially our emotional well-being.
